I realise that Ho Chi Minh City is a busy, bustling place but can anyone recommend hotels where the noise from the street isn%26#39;t too bad.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.
We stayed at the Victory Hotel - quiet and had the added advantage of a roof top swimming pool ..... this place is virtually never mentioned on TA and is not much used by Europeans or others .. it was booked by our Vietnamese daughter-in-law, and we found the rooms good and very clean and the staff very helpful., prices around the $60 mark. It is situated 5 mins. walk from the War Remnants Museum, and about a 10 minute stroll to the Cathedral.
Suggest you look at their website to give you some idea.
We stayed at Elios hotel, and just pay only US$55 for DBL room.
Whilst these are all acceptable hotels they are also all on busy street locations and thus liable to some noise.
It really depends on your budget Andy. Most 4/5* hotels have rooms overlooking interior courtyards or atriums which are thus very quiet - for example the Renaissance Riverside or the Parkroyal.
A cheaper option would be the Vien Dong on Pham Ngu Lao which also has some inward-facing rooms.
Many locally-run hotels don%26#39;t quite get the concept of peace %26amp; quiet, as the Vietnamese tend to get up early and are able to sleep through anything! So wherever you book, stress that you want a VERY quiet room and that you will move on if you don%26#39;t get one.
