Paradise Resort Doc let beach

We a family of four have recently returned from our trip to Vietnam. We promised the owner of this fabulous resort that we would spread the word about his little slice of heaven..

We stayed in the lovely family suite which had beautiful views of the ocean and wonderful sea breezes. We slept with all doors and windows open all night....!! Paradise resort is safe and extremely relaxing. All 3 meals are provided for and at no stage did we feel hungry... the food is wonderful...the best pork rolls in rice paper we had in Vietnam!!

The room we stayed in had 2 double beds and the room itself was spotless.

Run by an older distinguished French gentleman, we had many great conversations and met many wonderful people as we ate with the guests and shared stories over great food and a few tiger beers!!.

Highly recommended and a great place to escape the madness.....no tv makes for great conversation..!

Hayley,

You%26#39;ve found Monsieur Chere%26#39;s place. Consider yourself lucky to have stumbled upon this little gem. How did you get to Doc Let? It is not on any tour guide or most traveller%26#39;s radar.

I%26#39;ve heard great things about Monsieur Chere place from my uncle and cousins who stayed there 3 years ago. The price is downright cheap and the fabulous foods included with the lodging. There is a website to the Paradise resort, but I can%26#39;t seem to locate it at the moment.

I will have the same question as the other Henry did. How far is Doc Let from Nha Trang? and did you take the private car to get there? and if how is the hotel rate compared to Nha Trang hotels, let%26#39;s say vinpearl or sunrise? I am planning to go to Vietnam in June and might want to check out Doc Let. Your reply is appreciated.

Hi Henry2

The website for Paradise Hotel is

www.vngold.com/doclet/paradise

or email

paradise_doclech@hotmail.com

That is the info on the card from the hotel. The pictures on the website are exactly how the resort is. Vinperal and sunset beach resorts are hugely expensive and cant be compared to Paradise. the rooms in the 5 star are well over $200 per night and lack the flavour of Vietnam that the local hotels have. We enjoyed talking to other travellers at Paradise...every one eats together in a communal reataurant. This hotel/resort is well off the tourist beaten track and the beach will be all yours!!. We took the owners bike and rode into the near by small towns and saw the real Vietnam ..no shops set up for tourism...there is very little to do except read, eat and swim!! Our 4 nights there were evry relaxing. We were given the detalis of Paradise via a local agent blessingtravel997@yahoo.com Ms Le spoke excellent english and is extremely helpful.(Nha Trang)

Check out the Golden Hotel in Nha trang..they have great rooms and all have water views.

good luck and enjoy

sorry Henry I forgot to mention that it is a 1 hr trip north by private van from Nha Trang. The van was organised by the travel agent at Blessing Travel and we paid $50 return for the 4 of us.

For the $15 per night you receive all 3 meals and snack on drinks and fruit if still hungry. For a few days this is a great place to stay but there is very little else around so you dont go there to shop or party its some where to relax and talk to fellow travellers..and of course the owner !!

Thanks Hayley. I checked out the web site and yes it is very peace and quiet. I will definately check out the place when I get to Nha Trang.

Thanks again.

we stayed here in february 2009 for several days - its simple and great - communal meals, wonderful beach, no distractions..just chilling - you have to take a taxi from nha trang - if pushed i suppose you could find a bus but its still a little way from the main road - you%26#39;e have to ask vladimir, the big honcho, when you ring up. But much recommended.

I have to try this place.

I live only 15 minutes away, and i have been living here for a year. I have heard a lot about it, but I haven%26#39;t been there yet.
