We just came back from Pinta cruise last week. It%26#39;s brand new, about a month old. I was told. We stayed in a triple room (room 208) just next to the restaurant. Fantastic experience. Go for it..

I%26#39;m interested in a triple room on this boat cruise too! (It%26#39;s soooo difficult to find one among the other boats - usually they want the third person to get another room). How much did you pay for it, and should we book it in advance? Thnaks

I just came back from a Pinta cruise too. It seems that %26#39;Pinta%26#39; is not the name of the boat. There is a Pinta sign in the lounge and on the side of the boat, but the name of the boat I am on is %26#39;Hai Phong 08%26#39;. It is not a new boat, part of the handrail have come off.

The food is not that great. For a table of 4, we are served 7 or 8 small dishes, 2 mid size prawns each, 3 spring rolls each, vegetables, fried beef, fried pork.

For a price of USD97, I do not think it is a great deal. Seems to be similar to other posting for USD65 cruise.

That%26#39;s terrible to hear. But how%26#39;s the accommodation like, lawli? I would be interested to hear too if you know whether Pinta (or %26#39;Hai Phong 08%26#39;) has a triple room? Or does any other boat? Thnaks

We had booked on the Bhaya cruiser through Hanoi Elegance hotel, but with the AUD as it is, the $175USD plus transfers began to get a bit expensive. I enquired through Hanoi Elegance hotel to book on the Pinta cruiser as it is only $97 inclusive of transfers. They informed us that it is not a new boat, it is the former Le Tonkin cruiser and has been repaired and renamed, since the Santa Maria has been reclaimed by its owners.

We have booked it through Columbus website, doesnt bother us that isnt a new boat, it is smaller and more in our price range.

The room%26#39;s air conditioner is off because the boat power is insufficient. So you either stay in the lounge or the sun deck. You use the room only for a night sleep and to shower.

I am not sure whether there are triple rooms on the boat. But the 2 rooms next to the restaurant appear bigger.

Sorry, did not check the forum hanoi bay recently as I am busy preparing my trip to bali. So now browsing bali travel forum instead. We paid US97 in Sep but i think the rate has gone up now. But overall, i love the experience
