we are thinking of going to vietnam next year any advice on which beaches to sta on and do they have huts on the beach like thailand

it depends on your budget but there are some great beaches around danang/hoi an. lots of resort too. nha trang is an obvious pick as well. i can%26#39;t think of any places with huts on the beach but jungle beach might have these?

one of my favourites though is hoa%26#39;s place at china beach (near marble mountain - just south of danang). it%26#39;s 50 meters from the beach, you%26#39;ll always meet lots of good people there, and hoa and his family really make you feel at home. i spent christmas there a few years ago and they put on a fantastic christmas dinner for us. it was excellent! and two days after christmas they organised a minivan to take us to voui soi (elephant springs) which was amazing - a series of rockpools with a natural waterslide. one of the best christmases ever.

I would recommend:

Jungle Beach - VERY remote beach bungalows near Nha Trang. No aircon or TV etc, just a beautiful beach and total tranquility.

Phu Quoc Island - several good resorts here, with Beach Club my personal favourite.
