Best view in town

HI there

Where do you find the best view in HCMC, is it in a resturant, a bar or maybe a hotel room.

Looking to spend a romantic eavning so please advice.

Me and my hubbie just came back from Vietnam. We stayed at Tan Hai Long 1 Saigon, Vietnam. It is near Ben Than Market. If you decide to go for this ask for a higher level room with %26#39;city view%26#39; and nonsmoking if you prefer one (not Level 9 because its below the restaurant and kitchen where you could hear the noise when they start preparing the meals). It is the best unobstructed view of the city, however, I will not describe it romantic as HCMC is a very busy city that never sleeps. This company owns 4 hotels in HCMC so you need to specify %26#39;Tan Hai Long 1%26#39; at Le Lai St, rates are from US$45-50 for a standard room and deluxe for $60, very clean and good service. We have not been but I know there are hotels near the river. If you want to check for your self here is their web address:

If you email them, you might even get a special rate. I was told if you want a romantic holiday in Vietnam you need to go Halong Bay in the north.
