Hi this is probably a really stupid question.

But are there plenty of laundrettes around the old quarter ?

will be hanoi for 4 weeks and flying out on a 20kg limit not a chance of getting everything i need out for 4 weeks with out washing

Plenty of places that will do your laundry - washed, dried and folded for around $1 per kilo. You really can get away with the minimum of clothes, everything is really casual and like me coming forom a cooler place you wont need many layers.

I found the rates for laundry at mini-hotels and guesthouses very cheap as well. Depending on where you are staying, this could be a convenient and cheap way.
