Hanoi Elegance 2 Payment - Confused!

Hi! I%26#39;ve decided to book a room at the Hanoi Elegance 2 but i%26#39;m having trouble with the payment side. They have asked me to pay a deposit which i have no problem with, but the method of payment is confusing me.

They have given me 3 options

1. Western Union

2. Give credit card details by email or fax (which i am NOT prepared to do, so this is not an option.

3. Bank transfer (not happy with the bank charges on this though)

I was going to do it by Western Union, but i am not sure what to do when it comes to making the payment. Do i have the money delivered to the address of the hotel? Or to the address of the hotel manger, which he also provided in the email?

Or do i have the receiver notified by phone when the money is ready?

Please help as i am very confused by this. Has anyone else had this experience.

Thanks

I would say they will forego deposit if you explain your dilemma..we booked at last minute and they didnt ask for deposit....or else if they insist ask them to make it clear what to do.

Hanoi Elegance 2 Payment - Confused!

I made reservations there recently and sent all of my credit card information in three separate emails. They were fine with that.

i%26#39;ve also placed a deposit with them with them on my debit credit card. no problems!

I have booked Hotel Elegance 4 and same options as you, having read coments on here before about option 2 I felt comfortable enough to go ahead with this and it was absolutely fine. They kept me fully informed, acknowledged the fax told me the payment was being processed and then when it had all cleared.

I payed my Hanoi Elegance 4 deposit last week using Western Union.

In the email they sent, it should have (under the western union section), the name and address to specify.

Dont worry about ticking ';deliver to address'; OR ';notify by phone';. These are just extras and will make it more expensive.

Once you have used your credit card to make the payment on the western union site, you may have to phone a number to confirm (Western Union number which is to verify your identity- prevent fraud).

Once you have done this, send the hotel an email letting them know it is completed, and supply them with the 10 digit confirmation number. The manager will then go to their most convenient agent and using that number will collect the deposit.

I was also concerned about faxing and emailing my CC number. Not so much because I didnt trust the hotel, but who knows where the number might be seen? Email certainly isnt secure!

Hope this helps!
