We are flying w/2 very small children from AU through Singapore to Vietnam. Only have 6 days... should we spend it all in Hanoi? Definitely want to do Halong Bay also. Is it enough time to see both? or should we stick w/just Hanoi? Kids are 3 and 1. Wanted to do Hanoi and Hoi An but didn%26#39;t think it would be enough time.

Also, are the junks on Halong Bay safe for the kids?

I just afraid of your kids. must be carefully if you decide overnight one boat in Halong

I wouldn%26#39;t bother with Saigon - it%26#39;s mad. You won%26#39;t enjoy it, especially with small children. There is plenty to do around Hanoi.
I just got back from Vietnam 3 days ago. Halong Bay is amazing, my fav city was actually HCMC however it is no place for kids.. Vietnam really isn%26#39;t a place for kids. You could definitely do Hoi An in that time if you were happy to travel (maybe not cos of the kids, depends how they travel i guess) - (check out the night train) Hoi An is really nice, great place to get clothes made (allow two days for refitting) and the river is really nice.
