Are hotel rooms in Vietnam big?

Hi! My family of 4 (including two teenagers) will be going to Vietnam and Cambodia for 4 wks. this summer. Do most 3-star hotel rooms in Vietnam have full or queens or kings beds? Are most rooms pretty large? When we traveled to Peru 2 yrs ago, most rooms came with 2 full beds, which was a little tight for us.

We%26#39;re trying to book our hotels in Vietnam now. My teenagers definitely seem to bicker a lot in tight quarters. Also my husband and I are 50ish, travel a lot, and admittedly like comfortable accomodations. But at the same time, it would be nice to save some money.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Maybe we should leave the teens at home--just kidding!

The hotels we stayed at had full size beds. I think if you want 2 beds in a room, full size is the norm there, not sure if your teenagers are willing to share 1 bed. The rooms were very standard in size compared to rooms here in the U.S.

You might want to book 2 connecting rooms, or maybe a suite in a smaller boutique hotel.

The family rooms (triple) we got tended to be a double bed (probably a queen) and a single bed, we stayed in 3* hotels. The rooms were not overly large. We always got 2 rooms, the kids usually not too far away.
